Home Router Gateway Notes (Advanced)

This page is for users who want VPN on the whole home network (router-level setup).

Most users do not need this. App-based setup is easier and usually enough.

Before you start

• check that your router supports VPN client mode;
• confirm you can import custom profiles;
• keep a fallback internet path in case router config fails.

Typical setup path

1. Export or copy your VPN profile from account.
2. Import profile into router VPN client section.
3. Enable DNS-through-VPN in router settings.
4. Apply and reboot router if required.
5. Verify that connected devices use VPN egress IP.

Quick validation

• phone and laptop can open websites normally;
• public IP is changed on all home devices;
• no DNS leaks after router connection is enabled.

If router setup is unstable

• return to app-based VPN client on each device;
• test another profile or protocol;
• contact support with router model and firmware version.
