FAQ

Which plan should I choose?

If you need stable daily usage and priority support, pick PRO.

If you are just testing the app flow, start with trial/free path first.

Can I connect multiple devices?

Yes, the current access model supports parallel active sessions.

For best stability, use a separate imported profile/client setup per device.

Do you log user activity?

GigaTap is positioned as a privacy access product. Public site analytics and support widgets are consent-gated; VPN operational privacy is covered by separate service terms and should be checked in the current app/policy flow before making high-risk assumptions.

Which client app should I start with?

Start with the first-party GigaTap client when it is offered for your platform. If it is not available for your platform or route, use a supported subscription-compatible client from Clients Setup.

What if the selected client does not connect?

  1. Refresh your subscription/config link.
  2. Re-import it into client.
  3. Try another server.
  4. Switch to fallback protocol profile (for example Hysteria2).

Which protocol should I use first?

Start with VLESS REALITY. If your route is unstable or throttled, switch to Hysteria2.

Can I use MTProto as full VPN?

No. MTProto is for Telegram proxy usage inside Telegram client settings.

Why is connection speed lower than expected?

Common reasons:

  • congested or throttled route;
  • current node load;
  • local network quality;
  • restrictive battery/data saver settings on mobile.

Try another server, another protocol profile, or another network.

  • Confirm your access is active in app.
  • Copy the full link again.
  • Update client app version.
  • Retry import in another supported client.

GigaTap App

Where do I start after installing the GigaTap app?

Open First Run & Import. The short path is: confirm active access, import by link, QR, or file, refresh the server list, then connect with Smart Connection or a manually selected server.

What is Smart Connection?

Smart Connection helps the app select and keep a working server. Use it for daily use when you do not need to pin a specific server.

What is Protection mode?

Protection mode uses connection profiles that may help on restrictive or unstable networks. Use Automatic first, then Manual only when you already know which profile works better on the current network.

When should I enable kill switch?

Enable Kill Switch when you want traffic to stop if the VPN tunnel drops. If traffic stops after a failed connection, check VPN status before changing profiles.

What should I send support?

Send your platform, app version, symptom, whether import worked, and a redacted diagnostic result from Diagnostic Report. Do not send raw subscription links or private config files.

Which routing mode should I choose?

Use TUN / full-device VPN first. Use system proxy or local proxy only for apps that need proxy settings. Use LAN sharing only on networks you control. Use split routing only when you intentionally want selected traffic to use GigaTap.

Which platforms have the first-party app?

The first-party app is available for Windows, Linux, and Android. macOS and iOS are not available yet; use Clients Setup for fallback guidance.
