Smart Connection

Smart Connection is the app mode that helps GigaTap select and keep a working VPN server without asking you to manage every retry manually.

What it does

  • Selects a suitable server from your imported source.
  • Watches for degraded routes and reconnects automatically when needed.
  • Avoids rapid flip-flopping between servers.
  • Can be turned off if you prefer manual server selection.

After you add a source for the first time, the app may suggest Smart Connection as the default path. You can still open the server list and choose a specific server yourself.

How to use it

  1. Add a GigaTap subscription or config source.
  2. Open the connection screen.
  3. Keep Smart Connection enabled for automatic server choice.
  4. Connect normally.
  5. If you need a specific location or profile, turn Smart Connection off and pick the server manually.

If the app cannot find a stable route, open Diagnostics before re-importing profiles or changing protocols.
