Clients Setup

This guide explains how to choose between the first-party GigaTap client and supported profile clients.

Supported app families

1) GigaTap client (preferred when offered)

Use the first-party GigaTap client when it is listed for your platform in the app or download flow. It is the preferred path because profile import, server list refresh, diagnostics, and recovery behavior are closest to the GigaTap product flow.

2) Subscription-compatible clients (fallback and advanced)

  • Happ
  • Hiddify (all platforms)
  • Streisand (iOS)
  • NekoBox (Android)

3) AmneziaWG clients

  • Windows
  • macOS
  • iOS
  • Android
  • Linux

Before you start

  1. Make sure your account has active access.
  2. Open the VPN section in the Mini App or Universal Web App.
  3. Copy the current subscription/config link.
  4. Update the selected client app to the latest available version.
  1. Install the first-party GigaTap client if it is offered for your platform.
  2. Otherwise install a supported subscription-compatible client.
  3. Copy your subscription link from GigaTap.
  4. Import the link into the client.
  5. Refresh the server list.
  6. Connect to a node and verify IP/DNS behavior.

Platform notes

Windows / macOS

  • Use the client recommended by the GigaTap app for your platform.
  • If the first-party path is unavailable or does not connect, try a supported desktop profile client from the app list.
  • Keep one fallback profile imported (for blocked networks).

Android / iOS

  • Allow VPN permission prompts.
  • Disable aggressive battery optimization for VPN client.
  • If mobile network is unstable, switch to Wi-Fi for first import.

Linux

  • Use supported alternative clients from app links (for example Hiddify/v2rayA where applicable).
  • Keep your imported profiles organized by protocol.

Which protocol profile to import

  • VLESS REALITY: default for most users.
  • Hysteria2: use when your current route is throttled/blocked.
  • AmneziaWG: use when you specifically need AmneziaWG route style.
  • MTProto: Telegram proxy only (inside Telegram client settings).

Verification checklist

After connect, verify:

  1. VPN status shows connected.
  2. Your public IP is changed.
  3. Websites/apps open without DNS errors.

Common issues

Import fails

  • Re-copy the full link and retry.
  • Update app version.
  • Try a different client app.

Connected but slow

  • Switch to another server.
  • Test another protocol profile (for example Hysteria2).
  • Retry on another network.

Frequent disconnects

  • Disable battery/data saver restrictions.
  • Re-import profile after refreshing it in app.
  • Keep one fallback profile ready.
