Kill Switch

The kill switch is leak protection for moments when the VPN tunnel drops. When enabled on a supported platform, it blocks traffic from leaving outside the tunnel.

When to enable it

Use the kill switch when you want apps to stop sending traffic if the VPN disconnects, the network changes, or the selected server becomes unavailable.

Platform notes

  • On desktop platforms, the kill switch is designed to be strict while the VPN profile is active.
  • On Android, server changes are handled inside the active VPN tunnel where the platform allows it.
  • If a platform or route does not support the same enforcement level, the app should show the available behavior instead of hiding the limitation.

How to use it

  1. Open the app settings or connection protection controls.
  2. Enable kill switch before connecting.
  3. Connect to the VPN.
  4. If the VPN drops, wait for reconnect or disconnect intentionally before using another route.

If websites stop loading after a failed connection, check VPN status first, then open Diagnostics.
